Before We Were Strangers
by Renée Carlino
I can’t honestly say anything bad about this book. You got to see the Matt and Grace mature and learn from their mistakes. You get to see the relationship grow and evolve over the course of the book. The book shows you what happened 15 years ago, what started the relationship between the two, why they fell off, you get the truth, and how it affected both Matt and Grace from their perspectives. But you also get to see the “present” and where they both ended up and how much their lives had changed since their time together, with an unforgettable turn of events, in my opinion. Although this book is fiction, it felt like something that could honestly happen in the real world, and maybe that’s why I fell so in love with this book from the start.
I only give books 5 stars to books that I would read 100 times or more. Books that gripped me from the beginning and made it impossible to put down, this is one of those books.
