Sticks and Stones
by S. Massery, S.J. Sylvis
well this was the definition of not even enemies to lovers but rivals to lovers. I did not know how we were going to get along period let alone fall for one another š.
Wren had a terrible past and to save her future does something that really screws with Stoneās future (or it wouldāve had he not had the dad that he did). fast forward to college and Wren ends up sharing a room with Stone which goes about as well as expected. one prank is taken too far and we find out a lot more about Wrenās past and how little Stone knew when he set his prank in motion.
Wren & Stone fall into this relationship and Stone was way more possessive/obsessed than I thought he would be. did he take things to far and keep things from Wren to protect her, yes. but also she never had that (outside of Evanās family).
I did find it odd that her ex (that cheated on her) didnāt play a bigger role in this story. also, Stoneās dad really needed an āI told you soā after that ending even though iām sure he would care.
