Deathly by Brynne Asher
5.0
Deathly by Brynne Asher, let me tell you, it was just what I needed to pull me out of a book slump!
It's been a while since a story captivated me so much that I couldn't stop listening. Having enjoyed Layla Frost's audiobooks before, I was on the hunt for more and stumbled upon this gem.
What I found was the book after this was written by Layla but this one was the first in the series. I was confused as this is written by Brynne Asher. I'm not sure if there's a shared pen name situation going on here.

The narration in Deathly was top-notch, with two of my favorite narrators (Desireé Ketchum and Joe Arden) bringing the characters to life in a way that made the experience incredibly immersive. The tension, mystery, and suspense were perfectly balanced, keeping me on the edge of my seat throughout the story. And let's not forget the spice—wow, it was amazing.
The characters were well-developed and engaging, making it easy to become emotionally invested in their journeys. However, I did feel that the ending was a bit rushed. It seemed like the narrative was building up beautifully, only to wrap up quicker than I would have liked. Despite this, the overall experience was thoroughly enjoyable, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a thrilling and captivating read.
I can't wait to explore the next book in this series, which is written by Layla Frost.
