The storyline was awesome. The writing was juvenile.
I really wish I could give this book 5 stars, but there were so many times I literally rolled my eyes while reading it. How many times do we need to know Officer Dan has "liquid eyes"? How many times does it need to be said Dr. Olivet "can really tell a story"?
I found the plot to be refreshing and interesting, but it was a struggle to push through the poor writing and editing. I would still recommend the book to anyone interested in the genre, and will likely give book 2 a shot.
