I’ve always been sceptical about Colleen Hoovers books, mostly because of the hype over Booktok and sometimes those hypes are questionable.
However, I enjoyed reading Verity and it was a quick and easy read. There isn’t much depth to the characters and they aren’t very likeable. The writing is basic and bland too but gets to the point and delivers the story well.
I like how the ending is left open ended for the reader to interpret which truth Verity manipulated, and after reading the bonus chapter, I think it’s clear to see that none of them are innocent.
