If Stephen Fry is narrating any book, especially a book he has written/adapted, you should not worry or fear at all. I have not been entertained listening to an audiobook, as much as I was entertained listening to Mythos, narrated by Stephen Fry.
There are a lot of similarities between Greek myths and the Indian mythology. But despite that, there were so many stories, I had no knowledge of. The afterword tells you all you need to know, but all the stories and the different origins of words were fascinating to learn about.
