Ok so this wasn't exactly brilliant literature but it was light and easy and absorbing and just what I needed. It was randomly just on a shelf in my flat - must have belonged to a previous tenant. Kind of wish they'd make a film of this. If it had to be one gay teen romance by Becky Albertalli this is much more interesting than Love, Simon imho.
[Side rant: someone had used PEN to correct some grammar, and whoever they are they have a special mix of ignorance, arrogance and irreverence towards books bc they were WRONG and the book was RIGHT. Don't mind me I'm just irrationally incensed]
