Justice League, Volume 7: Darkseid War, Part 1 by Geoff Johns

3.0

It's big and kind of insane. Very fast-moving, not much time to really ponder what's actually happening. Probably wise. Because it's insanely huge. A little bit too big and brash, but well put-together. More enjoyable than anything from the Superman titles, anyway.

The more I think about this, the more I realize how much of a mad, thin mess this is. Sure, I still think it was a fun, fast-paced mess, but a mess nonetheless. Will I read the rest of it? Absolutely. There are a few series from the New 52 that I'll read to the end out of a strange sense of loyalty and desire for them to live up to the promise of their first issues/collections. (Sadly, none have so far. I have higher hopes for Green Arrow, though.)
