Hope I don't get thrown into histrom jail for this, but I don't quite get the hype for Kleypas based on this first read. Not bad per se, but fairly run of the mill HR and I didn't quite feel the connection between the two MCs. Almost like something was missing, maybe it needed more of Simon's POV to understand their initial antagonistic relationship? Also the last quarter felt disjointed and lost the momentum of the original plot. I do however love the Wallflowers as a group so I will venture on in the series to see if it gets better, but thus far I'm not entirely impressed.
