This is definitely the most unique book I've ever read. And it was SO GOOD. I loved the whole experience of it: the different storylines, the connections between them, the mystery, the clues, the foreshadowing, the amazing characters, the storytelling, the research, the themes, the ways in which characters think and act, and even the confusion (because yes, you will be confused. Embrace it, it's part of the experience).
I really enjoyed Jen and Eric's storyline. You only get to know them through the notes they write each other in the margins of the book (which I loved so much!), but they are such well-developed and vivid characters with memorable stories that they felt very real to me. I could relate so well to both of them.
I have a very special place in my heart for books that are like love letters to books, stories, and writing - S. is one of them.
Unrelated side-note: I totally agree with Jen that "miserable biscuit" would be a great emo-band. I'd definitely be a fan.
