I really enjoyed the beginning of this book and the world that was being created. It was so interesting and rich that I couldn't help but be sucked into the world. Unfortunately, the second half of the book didn't live up to the first (I almost feel like you could cut out a lot of the travelling and running away from problems with no change to the outcome of the story). Overall, I enjoyed the book, and am interested to read more from the author; I'm just not dying to read the next book right now.
