I really enjoyed the brutal honesty that came through the narrative voice of Tori, our FMC. She’s living off the success of her internationally best-selling book but is delaying writing a sequel as she enters her thirties. I loved the undercurrent of feminism and gender equality issues which always underline Holly Bourne’s books and greatly appreciated the toxicity of some of Tori’s thoughts as she navigates her life. She is not perfect. She is actually really fucking flawed. My first adult book from Holly Bourne and not my last. Heavy weighting however on the POV of a middle-classed, white, heterosexual woman = just to keep that in mind. Didn’t find the book very diverse.
