Secluded Cabin Sleeps Six
by Lisa Unger
I mean. This book was marketed as one thing (and it was well-written so it gets 2 stars for at least that). But 2/3 of the way in it took a major left turn into being massively triggering with no warning. And I'm not talking about I just wasn't into it and it made me a bit anxious. Most of the characters ended up being irredeemable because they were criminal or enabling/covering for a criminal. I will steer clear of this author from now on. I'm not interested in thinking I'm reading a locked room, suspense/thriller only to find out it's really a confessional from people involved in depraved sex crimes and murders of varying degrees. I'd like to make my own decision whether or not to read things like that. Because I would not choose it.
