A River of Royal Blood by Amanda Joy

4.0

This was fantastic, I loved the different races in Myre, the humans, fey, bloodkin and khimaer. I loved how different they were but the fey, bloodkin and khimaer all trace back to the first couple, so this worlds Adam and Eve. Humans came from across the land and pretty much took everything not long after.
I like the world building and the history that you learnt through out, about the great war and the first queens, but i did feel a bit confused still about the magick system and why they have he tattoos.

Eva our main character has Blood and Marrow Magick which has not been seen for generations and because of this no one can teach her how to use it, she fears her magick and fears what using it will make her become.

In A River of Royal Blood we have twists and turns, tear jerking moments and moments that make you smile and laugh. The shocking ending had me gasping.
