This book is my latest read in my recent obsession with sapphic pirates and I think it’s going on the list of my favorites. Lou has a neck tattoo, and a gold tooth. Maro is a sassy monotone enby. George has a really great character arch. Rosie is everything you’d want in a friend character. Every character is so well thought out that even the side characters are equally if not more interesting than the mains, and as someone who’s usually pretty character driven that makes me really invested in the story. The storyline itself is filled with action from the beginning so I didn’t have to solely rely on the characters to carry the story, though they could have. This is definitely one of the better stories in general, but especially specifically sapphic pirate stories I’ve read.
