Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen

My very first Jane Austen novel and I was not disappointed. I expected to find it difficult getting into the book because it was written in the 1800s but I was never more wrong in my life. Jane Austen writes her characters as if they were real people to me. I did not expect to understand the writing so easily and I did not expect to LOVE nor feel for the characters but I did.

I absolutely LOVED Elizabeth. What a strong main character who takes no shit from anyone and has the patience of a saint. I hated Darcy at first but wow, the journey to get me to love him as a character and as a love interest for Elizabeth was so amazing to witness as if I was there through it all.

Mr. Bennet, the Gardiners, Jane, and Charlotte were the real MVPs ESPECIALLY the Gardiners. The little portion of the book at the very end which dedicated Darcy's and Elizabeth's love for them was so beautiful and touching I love them so much!!!!

I HATED Lydia and Wickham lol nothing could make me like them. This was the part where I, for the first time, decided to puck the book down and wasn't eager to pick it back up. Other than that storyline, THE BOOK WAS AMAZING. Oh and I hated Mrs Bennet who was good for nothing other than being a shitty mother and annoying character.

ALSO, THE ROMANCE??????? HELLO???? I WAS LITERALLY SMILING AND SWOONING AT THE FUCKING BOOK WHENEVER ELIZABETH AND DARCY DID INTERACT. I LOVE THEM SO MUCHHHH
