Big Magic by Elizabeth Gilbert

If at the end of my Political Science degree I write something so out of touch with the world, then I have failed.
The trees truly died for nothing.
This read like it was meant to be an hour and a half WhatsApp voice message.
I'm not and have never aspired to be a writer, but it's apparent that this book was not meant to contribute to society in any way. Not even for the sake of entertainment, as it is needlessly tiresome.
You don't have to believe me, this can be corroborated by the book itself:
"Big Magic is obviously a self-help guide, right? But with all due respect and affection, I did not write this book for you; I wrote it for me."
Should've put this quote on the cover, so I would've known to never read this book.
I didn't read "Eat, Pray, Love" and after this I am so glad I didn't.
Sometimes I feel bad about writing very harsh reviews, but this isn't the time, because I've never seen a bigger cash grab.
