This was a sarcastic, cynical, funny book that is a quick and easy read. Be mindful that this is just the first book in the series, so if you're expecting a nice tied-together ending like the movie you'll be disappointed. I wouldn't say that the characters were very well developed, most of them felt fairly surface level. That being said, they were still charismatic and entertaining enough to help keep the story engaging. I will say that there is a lot of quirky and random interjections. If you enjoy that kind of kooky sci-fi stuff you'll be fine, but it is a bit random and seemingly unnecessary at times.
