Uhm. There is so much phenomenal stupidity here that I had a hard time believing what I was reading. I think I finished the book on the power of incredulity alone...

Very few things here made sense. Everybody is colossally irresponsible to the point of weirdness and nobody calls it out. The main character is putting herself in needless danger, repeatedly endangers her pet while using the same pet as a convenient excuse for her stupidity. Her way of "dealing" with the person who had assaulted her in the past was also weird, pointless and accomplished exactly nothing.

Her romantic interest is a possessive violent jerk, but, apparently, all is forgiven because he is occasionally nice to some animals. Not to mention that the entirety of the romantic interest itself is reduced to insta-lust.

No. Just no. The author should stick to writing fairytales for teenagers.
