I will be completely honest here and say I started this series for Jacks. I hope I will finish it till the[b: A Curse for True Love|62816044|A Curse for True Love (Once Upon a Broken Heart #3)|Stephanie Garber|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1674501506l/62816044._SY75_.jpg|98584656] comes out. It's a popular series, so I thought I'd finish this book and immediately run to read the second one, but the first one turned out to be just fine for me. I guess it didn’t live up to the hype for me, or it's just the first book, and the next two are better. I don’t know, we will see.
The plot was okay, though it didn’t suck me up from the beginning as I thought it would. I actually dnfed the first time I picked it up, but decided to give it a second chance.
My main problem here was the main characters. I didn’t connect to the at all. I didn’t even particularly like them. Scarlett and Donatella were fine. Julian had some great moments though. His nicknames were sweet. I mean, if a man called me 'love', I would melt. He was pretty funny too.
Dante is, or probably will be, more mentioned in the second book, so we will see what I will think of him.
Also. Lies and secrets here? At one point I was so confused that I no longer knew what or whom I should believe.
I hope I will finish this series in time.
