Wow. This book was by far one of the most challenging books I’ve read. I say challenging as in it challenged me. It made me question myself and analyze my bias. It helped me further understand the difference between equality and equity. It has made me want to sit down, shut my mouth and listen. I was shocked by the events that took place in this book, but also I wasn’t even surprised. The end of this book, and the redemption it shows brought me to tears. You can be taught to hate, BUT you also can be taught to love.

I commend Jodi Picoult for writing this book.
We all need it.
