Solaris is the story of three scientists grappling with an extraterrestrial intelligence, their own subconsciouses, and the meaning of humanity.

This book is not what I was expecting. At times extremely tense and often comedic in an odd, dark way. The story and the questions posed throughout the book will be on my mind for a while. I would definitely recommend this to fans of science fiction, but I caution readers to visit Solaris with an open mind.

My only qualm is that there are issues with the Kilmartin and Cox translation, and I wish I had the ability to read the original Polish version!
