Angelfall by Susan Ee
4.0
I can't believe I liked this book, but I did! I liked it in the same way I love The Walking Dead. There was action, danger, and gore. If I have one beef with paranormal books it's that they seem to be romance novels with furry or fanged protagonists. Despite the potential inter-species love conflict (what else is new) the romance was minimal, which is the way I like my fantasy novels. I like my DNA human, thank you.
I'm a little uncomfortable with the author employing actual archangels as characters within the book, especially as antagonists. I'm also a little uncomfortable with the use of angels as characters/love interests in general, but not enough to stop reading/enjoying the book. Perhaps I should be more uncomfortable with hypocrisy and perfidy, but there you go.
