Not my favorite…

I’ve been a Natasha Madison fan for awhile now, but her last few releases have been kind of “eh” for me. This book continued that pattern.

📚𝗧𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗲: Friends-to-Lovers

📖 𝗦𝘆𝗻𝗼𝗽𝘀𝗶𝘀: Julia is a social worker, and when an accident brings her and a young child into the ER, she’s all too happy to have the help of friend and doctor Chase. As she navigates through emotional waters, she is happy to have Chase by her side.

🌟 𝗥𝗲𝘃𝗶𝗲𝘄: I love how I feel like I have to explain giving a book a 3 even though it’s not THAT BAD of a rating.

The book had potential… all of the elements were there. But the actual romance of it was just lacking.

There was no tension between Chase and Julia. There wasn’t much of a backstory to establish their original relationship, and then as it went further ahead when things became romantic, there wasn’t any fanfare about it. And throughout the story there was very little drama or even big moments for the couple. There was not much hockey. It was a story that just kind of… was.

I’m probably going to continue reading, but I do want to note how convoluted this group is getting. It’s huge and there’s a ton of double or similar names. And the family tree list in the beginning isn’t cutting it anymore.
