The Forsyte Saga
by John Galsworthy
3.75!
This is a surprisingly modern book considering its age. A lot of good themes here like women's empowerment. If it weren't written in an older, more verbose style I would wonder at its lack of popularity.
Characterization was excellent. Plot was pretty good, if a little pastoral in the style of old books. Writing was a bit difficult to get into but Galsworthy wove themes into story VERY well.
