The One That Got Away by Bethany Chase
5.0
The One That Got Away is everything I love in a novel. In Sarina, we have a real, flawed but strong female character working to build a career for herself in a field she is passionate about. Check. We have a heart-wrenching love triangle where even we don't know who she should choose because both men are great and flawed in their own ways. Check. We have strongly developed minor characters who each bring a unique perspective to Sarina's struggles. Check. And we have a very real setting in Sarina's home of Texas, as well as the houses and businesses she's put her signature touch on, which are characters in themselves.
This story was a fast read for me--one that I found myself dying to get back to. I felt like I was living the story and it was a memorable ride.
