Local Woman Missing by Mary Kubica
5.0
dark emotional mysterious medium-paced
Plot or Character Driven: A mix
Strong character development: Yes
Loveable characters: Complicated
Diverse cast of characters: No
Flaws of characters a main focus: No

this book truly through me for a loop, i never suspected 'Bea' to be the main perpetrator of the story, and i am usually fairly good at calling plot twist, this and another phenomenal read 'The Silent Patient' have been the only books to really be able to completely flip me on my head and say "what the fuck" out loud.

I had a bit of a burnout while reading this book so it did take me awhile, but i was completely immersed by the story and the writing when i was reading it.

Thriller/Murder Mysteries tend to be my favorite book genres' and Mary Kubica did a phenomenal job at capturing both the thrill and the emotion behind such heavy topics and grey areas.

This has been the only book i've rated with 5 stars this year, and its rightly deserved.
