I have mixed feelings about Blake Crouch’s recent novels all having such similar premises, but they never seem to disappoint. I had a hard time putting this one down especially because of how action-packed it was. Not only did it read like a movie, but I felt that the underlying messages throughout were important takeaways for what it means to be an imperfect human, and what this world really needs to preserve our future generations’ lives, especially when it comes to the possibilities of genetic engineering — incredibly thought-provoking. This might be my favorite of his novels yet.
