My feelings about how I was liking the book flip-flopped so much but I actually think that makes sense for how the author began. I think that for me, the extreme jumps, over such a short a period of time, from something amazing to something terrible, over and over made me want to speed through the book as I was having a visceral reaction.
But at the same time, I loved the characters especially Susie, Margo, Jinx and JB.
I liked how this book delved into humanizing and legitimizing Only Fans and other forms of sex work, but the reality of how overall, society will never treat it that way to where the legal precedents have to come in to play to defend it. Also enjoyed the incorporation of Jinx’s journey with SUD and introduction to methadone (and how that/ harm reduction is also looked at by society in a way that as Margo points out, ignores facts and research).
I might have more to add as I think on it, but I want to end with how I am excited for the series!
(I listened to the audiobook.)
