Cassio met the love of his life during the worst situation and timing. He also didn't know it yet. Fast forward, the girl he saved turned into a woman unlike any other.
Aine is different.
She has deeply hidden memories that threaten to break free, causing her to question things. But she also has this drive, this sense of urgency, to finish what her father started. She is full of determination.
The outside world is against them and they have to fight to make it. Evil wants Aine and Cassio wants to make sure she's safe.
Revelations are hard to accept but they continue to fight this ongoing battle together. Showing to not only themselves, but the world, that they are meant for each other.
