Oh my god. If you grew up watching Dr. Quinn medicine woman, or enjoy watching Call the Midwife, you’ll love this story! It’s like a perfect combo of them both. (I know Goodreads mentioned Outlander, but I haven’t read or watched that to confirm) Holy crap! It was tragic at so many points for varying reasons, and could be very triggering for anyone who has been SA’d ESPECIALLY if justice was not found, so be wary and check trigger warnings.
The audiobook was amazing. I took forever to be available on my Libby app, and now I know why. It should be on EVERYONES hold shelf!
The authors note was also so cool. I like hearing about authors choices they make balancing facts and actual history with writing a compelling historical fiction novel.
I physically cheered when Ephram took the dismembered “member” (🍆) to Rebekah Foster!!! 🙌🏻🙌🏻
Finding out Sam was the murderer all along, and that Johnathon was with him?!?! Omg.
I’m so sad that Cyrus never found love. 😭😭😭
