This is labeled as an “enemies to lovers” book on KU but they’re not actually enemies. This is more of a pride and prejudice retelling. I didn’t know that this is a spin off series to J wolf’s savage high series, so I would recommend reading that first because characters are mentioned in this book that obviously have their own story. J wolf briefly describes how our main character is connected to them but I would’ve liked to know about the other series before starting this one.

The story itself is okay. Not remarkable. I wish we got more of a glimpse of Helen’s time with Mads. Since it was such a pivotal experience for Helen and it literally changed the course of her life, it seems strange that the book would start with her meeting Mads and getting the job with her, but then totally skip past the entire year she worked for her. The book should’ve started with her beginning at college then gave us some glimpses in the past. IDK that’s why I marked it a 2 star.
