This is my review for the first two volumes of this series. I really liked the artwork and the atmosphere in these books. In Deadly Class we follow Marcus as he is invited to join an assassin's school. The story is gritty, dark and violent, but it has twisted forms of love, idealism and self-exploration that regular teenagers also go through.

What I really appreciate is how the high stakes magnify the high school dynamics that many of us have experienced. At the same time it shows how trauma really affects development of teenagers and also magnifies that.

It is an interesting read, and also just an awesome action and crime series. Recommend!
