A Hate Like This by Melanie Summers, Whitney Dineen
5.0

Entertainment lawyer Ethan takes a sabbatical in Alaska, writing a novel in hopes of changing careers. He quickly falls for widowed single mom Moira, the harried owner of the local diner. When they vacation in LA, she’s overwhelmed by his glamorous life there. Can he convince her they belong together?

Another winner from Dineen and Summers! Ethan and Moira are so sweet and likable, I couldn’t help rooting for them. I could relate to Moira’s independent streak, but I was happy when Harper told her to get over herself already. It’s one thing to want to stand on your own two feet, and another to shut people out of your life because you can’t accept help. Ethan was so great with her boys—he was exactly what they needed. An emotional, feel-good romance for those times when you need a smile.

Thanks, NetGalley, for the ARC I received. This is my honest and voluntary review.
