This book was so disturbing, fascinating, and made my skin crawl. It’s the first time I’ve read a graphic novel that comments on the human state through cannibalism. I don’t think I will be able to move so quickly from this book.

What does it mean to be human if the meat you eat is from humans? From the treatment of and slaughtering of “heads” to interacting with civilized humans, the line between the two groups is so apparent and at the same time it’s not.

I was blown away by Marcos’s compassion for Jasmine all for him to disregard that immediately with the birth of his son. The hyprocisy was insane. He was judging other’s treatment and views of the “heads” when in the end he is no better than them in the end.
