Is This Love? by Sue Moorcroft

3.0

I have to say I didn't like this as much as the other books by Sue Moorcroft.

Probably part of the reason for my less enthusiastic response is that I wasn't keen on Jed.
SpoilerI understand that the plot required Jed to be a bit ambiguous so that it was entirely plausible that Emilia's claims about him resonated with Tamara but it meant that I didn't warm to him.
Also I felt that some of his direct behaviour which he was so proud of seemed more like aggression and verging on stalker-like behaviour. For example, Tamara's mother didn't want to hear from him. But he wouldn't listen, it was all about what he wanted and what he needed to do for his father, not what Cheryl needed. And he kept pushing. Similarly, he thought Tamara would say no to a request to go out so he just turned up at her house and sat in the driveway - that's intimidation in my book.

I was disappointed that we didn't see more of the previous couples as well.

What was good? The attention to detail. I really wanted to join Tamara's yoga class. I also thought that the way life with Lyddie was portrayed seemed very realistic - hard work and time-consuming - although I have no personal experience.

Looking forward to the next one.
