it's a classic for a reason! i never read this in school and maybe that's a good thing because i can't imagine teenage me having enough knowledge of and experience in the world to fully appreciate what this book has to say. i can see why high schoolers who are forced to read this might end up hating it, but it is very much worth (re)visiting as an adult, especially given how relevant and eerily similar it is to society today.
