Still Foolin' 'Em: Where I've Been, Where I'm Going, and Where the Hell Are My Keys by Billy Crystal
4.0
This was a solid 4+ stars. Audio version is a must, read by author.
The book opened with a reading of an essay on aging, to a live audience. The jokes were a little tired, and I thought about putting the book down, but that would have been a mistake.
The remainder of the book is filled with fascinating anecdotes from a life well lived. Crystal details his unlikely friendships with the likes of Muhammad Ali and Mickey Mantle, and his brushes with presidents Bill Clinton and George W. Bush.
He recounts opportunities he passed up so that he could maintain a sane existence with his wife, daughters and eventually grandkids. He comes across as a surprisingly down-to-earth guy, whose humor and perspective have seen him through personal loss, and endeared him to a generation.
