The Curse of Saints by Kate Dramis

I think I found this book on tikkytokky like last summer maybe? And I was completely intrigued! I’ve followed Kate for a while and really looked forward to reading this one!
⚔️
To start off, I want to preface this by saying that this book took me quite a while to get into. I was confused by a lot-worldbuilding, names, places, magic, etc.
⚔️
Aya and Will basically grow up together and as young adults they both are part of a team that works side by side with their Queen. They are rivals, but there’s also some bad blood there from things that happened when they were kids. The slow burn was done really well. They find common ground, realize they have more similarities than they’d previously thought, and they’re protective of each other. Once things get revealed at the end, I could easily look back and think of instances where Will was showing how he cares for Aya. The hints are THERE!
⚔️
The audiobook narrator wan’t my favorite. She didn’t do different voices or change her tone between characters so it was a little difficult to tell when different characters were speaking sometimes.

I’m exited to see where this goes and I look forward to the next book!
