Red River Seven by A.J. Ryan

5.0

Red River Seven is sci-fi/thriller by author, AJ Ryan. This author was new to me and I picked it up based on the intriguing synopsis which featured one of my favorite mystery tropes where strangers wake up somewhere with amnesia and have to figure out what happened while overcoming some kind of danger. The story was action packed, full of suspense and mystery and hooks you from the chilling opening. The reader travels along with our amnesic main characters as they navigate this atmospheric landscape following along with the instructions left to them. Part sci-fi, part survival, part-adventure this one was a lot of fun to read. I feel like the suspense built up over the course of the book making me want to keep reading eager to find out the truth behind this mystery and the fate of our main characters. I was a little let down by the ending, but still overall enjoyed this one. The style of this book reminded me a lot of A.G. Riddle who is an author I really enjoy. I’ll be keeping an eye out for other books by this author.
