I really liked this book. It was the epitome of cozy fantasy, while still having stakes and an overarching plot. I realize the writing is not literary quality, but it did have some lovely descriptions of scents and flavors. I think the author did exactly what she set out to do: write a book that feels like a warm hug and a cup of hot cocoa.
