The Burning Page
by Genevieve Cogman
Alberich is not gone, obvi. This one missed the mark for me. So much movement happens in the geography of the characters but there wasn’t much for suspense or action throughout the whole book. It was pretty slow until the last 20 pages.
Cannot believe Irene disclosed information about her parents to Alberich. DUMB. Lol - That will get used against her at some point.
Was glad to see things improve for Vale. The chaos of the previous Venice ordeal was much more inclusive from the readers viewpoint. The tiny bit of time in St. Petersburgh in this book was almost like - why did we even bother with this? It was so short, I would even argue irrelevant to the rest of the story entirely.
Onto the next one!
