Vanishing Girls by Lauren Oliver
2.0
Usually a plot twisted ending would make my mind go back and reinterpret what had occurred, causing an “a-ha!” moment, which I love.
This book gave me the opposite. While I appreciate the twist, I feel it was an overshot, so much so that other scenes in the book would require way too much overthinking and explanation as to why they happened a certain way.
I feel like the Nick/Parker/Dara love triangle type relationship was not only a bit annoying, but also did not play out right.
It also took me a while to want to continue reading the book when I first started it, not quite peaking my interest enough at the beginning. I find that this also happened to me with Before I Fall, which I still have yet to continue reading past the 2nd chapter.
