The 5th Wave by Rick Yancey
4.0
genre: sci-fi/dystopian
age recommended: 13+
themes: grief, war, revenge, survival, companionship, trust, hate ,
notes: for older tweens, more mature themes than the hunger games. sex is mentioned a few times. a recommend for anyone who likes invasion sci-fi or for fans of the Ashfall series
opinions: another trilogy in a long list of "it" teen dystopian series. i really liked the bodysnatchers/who can you trust type aspect of but i wasn't really into the whole Evan/Cassie romance (maybe its more exciting if you are a tween/teen) but like Edward/Bella & Catniss/Peat before them, the guy is creepily too obsessed with the girl).
Really liked the interaction btw Nugget and Zombie as well as Cassie and Sammy (Nugget).
