Thank you to NetGalley and BooksGoSocial for the ARC. My opinions are my own.
This collection explores a variety of themes: fatherhood, grief, growing up, every day, relationships. The usual in collections like these. I think the variety served this collection very well.
It also had a "story" going on in the background which I assume is based on the author's real life as he wrote the collection. Nice touch and nice to see some concrete development.
Sweet little read. Couldn't connect with everything, as is typical of collections. But I think this is a great entryway into poetry. 3 stars.
