I really enjoyed this book and can’t wait to read more in this series. I also clearly need to go back and read the Bears Construction books. This is a wonderful portrayal of two people with crazy, hectic lives and too many obligations who don’t believe they have time for a relationship falling into a relationship ship and finding happiness and love and someone to share their lives and their burdens with.

Porter is a recently graduated veterinarian who owns his own clinic after buying it from the doctor who he interned with. He’s stressed, financially strapped, and overworked as well as unsure of himself. Steele is a mechanic who owns his own garage and is busy, stressed, and constantly worried about the people he needs to take care of in his life. When they meet (again) in a bar and have a unique first night together a friendship forms which turns into friends with benefits and ultimately a life together. It’s sweet, fun, mostly low angst, with a bunch of interfering, busybody friends.

We’ve got age gap, friends to lovers, found family, hurt/comfort among other tropes to enjoy. I read the book in one sitting and am looking forward to the next one.
