A Court of Frost and Starlight by Sarah J. Maas

This series is like...well honestly I’m not certain how to put it. It’s not a difficult read by any measure, and there are some small inconsistencies (that I’ve noticed some people really tend to harp on) but by and large it’s all a really enjoyable read. This book in particular does a good job of wrapping up the threads of the last trilogy and creating a stage for the next- especially if you read the preview of the next book in it.

I honestly didn’t start reading these books expecting to like them, but I was willing to give them a try. The main character seemed a bit like a self-insert at first (especially since she’s described very much as the picture of the author looks in her photos) but I figured “To hell with it” and read it anyways. Very fun reads, and even if Feyer is a self-insert for the author: I don’t know her, so it’s not like its a big deal if the read is good.
