For a white, cis men, the book offers plenty of opportunities to learn about myself. This is something i have not expected. Of course the book also offers a glimpse into queer culture but i see its strength elsewhere. It gracefully made me question my own relationship to my gender. What makes me a men and why? This and many other questions about relationships, transforming existing systems and what it means to be a parent are raised.

All in all the book succeeded in absorbing me in its whirl of flawed characters to a point where I deeply cared about them, all while not revealing a clear path ending.
