not making it a habit to review academic monographs on goodreads lol but WHY DO FIN DE SIECLE SCHOLARS HAVE SUCH ON A HARD ONE FOR BEING ALL 'what I'm writing about is SO SPECIAL to only the fin de siecle' then give ZERO compelling arguments as to why besides the fact that they wanted to choose texts from that period. girl, you cannot use Darwin as your argument for this when 'Origin' was a '50's text...your points are FINE stop trying to act like they're fin de siecle specific!!!
