I rated the collection a 5 because the story arc over the course of the three books, far surpasses the individual stories. The strongest of the three is the first The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. The weakest of the three is the second as it serves as a bridge to the final novel which at last puts all the parts together for the reader.
